Privacy Policy – HAVS Protect
This Privacy Policy describes how WE Protect AB ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the HAVS Protect mobile application ("the App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. User Account Data
User account management — including registration, login, profile information, and authentication — is handled entirely by the Copyl platform. All personal data related to your account is processed in accordance with Copyl's Privacy Policy:

2. Vibration Measurement Data (HAV Data)
The core function of the App is to record hand-arm vibration (HAV) exposure levels during work sessions. To do this, the App collects:
- Vibration measurements transmitted by a Bluetooth-connected HAV sensor, recorded every 60 seconds
- Session metadata: start time, end time, duration, and associated user or worker identifier
- Device identifier used to pair the sensor with the App
This data is uploaded to secure cloud storage and is used solely to generate legally compliant HAV exposure reports for workplace health and safety purposes.
3. Background Data Collection
To ensure uninterrupted recording, the App uses a foreground service (on Android) and background execution (on iOS) that keeps the Bluetooth connection and measurement recording active even when the screen is off or the App is not in the foreground. A persistent notification is displayed during active sessions so you are always aware that the service is running.
You can stop data collection at any time by ending the work session in the App.
4. Data Storage and Security
Measurement data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase). Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Pending uploads are queued locally and retried to ensure no measurements are lost due to connectivity issues.
We retain measurement data for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your measurement data with third parties, except:
- With your employer or safety officer, as required to produce your HAV exposure report
- With service providers (e.g. Google Firebase) acting as data processors on our behalf, under appropriate data processing agreements
- When required by law or a competent authority
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for use by adults in professional and occupational settings. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
