How HAVS Protect works

HAVS Protect uses sensors, analytics and real-time alerts to protect workers from vibration injury.

Three parts of HAVS Protect

The sensor

The sensor has a lamp that lights green (under 100 points), yellow above 100 points and red at 400 points.

The mobile app

The app communicates in real time with the sensor and saves data to the cloud (see Cloud Connect). It stores vibration points and trigger time, i.e. the time the machine has been vibrating in the hand.

The supervisor tool

The supervisor tool gives you as a manager automatic alarms when your colleagues reach 100 and 400 points (exposure action value and limit value). You can see statistics per work team, tool and work task. You see workers’ notes and photos from the field and you handle all incidents in risk management.

Cloud Connect – cloud storage

Cloud Connect is our cloud storage service. When you buy the sensor, 12 months of Cloud Connect are included. This means data is saved every minute from the phone to the cloud and stored for as long as you have an active licence.

For automatic alarms to workers and supervisors to work, as well as the supervisor tool, you need Cloud Connect. There is no obligation to renew – if you prefer not to continue, contact [email protected] before the renewal date; otherwise an invoice will be sent automatically.

Please note

If Cloud Connect is cancelled, it cannot be reactivated for that sensor. The sensor will then only work with the phone and show the sensor’s raw value at that moment. If you restart the sensor, the points stored in the sensor are shown – i.e. it starts from zero.

Technology and measurement

Our system measures tri-axial vibration in real time, estimates daily exposure against EAV/ELV, and provides immediate warnings as workers approach limits. Data syncs securely to the cloud for analytics, compliance reporting and long-term risk reduction.
